Halloween Recipes
Finally halloween. It isn't
easy thinking about what kind of food to prepare for this feast.
Trying to make some ugly looking meals can sometimes be messy. But
to make your life easier we have some halloween
recipes you can prepare and disgust your guests. Start telling
your halloween story and pass
around bowls of the items below:
Brains: Take a head of cauliflower and overcook - solid, but gross!
Eyeballs: Olives and peeled grapes work great like eyes.
Intestines Zombie Hair: Soggy Marshmallows, string them together for long intestines - slimy Corn Silk - best to get a few days before the party and let it dry out.
Vomit or Throw up:
Chunky Salsa and canned corn mixed together - have towels ready.
Mashed Potatoes topped with potato flakes, add coloring for extra novelty

Pumpkin Pie
3/4 cup brown sugar;
1 1/2 cups fresh pumpkin
1/2 teaspoon salt;
3 tablespoons melted margarine
1 teaspoon cinnamon;
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
3 eggs;
3/4 cup milk
Separate eggs and lay the whites aside. Combine the yolks and all other ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Fold in the egg whites and mix well. Spoon mixture into a 9" unbaked pie shell. Bake at 350" for one hour, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out cleanly.
Pumpkin Cookie
1 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup shortening;
2 eggs
1 lb. can pumpkin;
2 3/4 cups flour, sifted
1 tablespoon baking powder;
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg;
1/2 teaspoon salt
l/4 teaspoon ginger;
1 cup raisins
1 cup pecans, chopped
Preheat oven to 400. Mix sugar, shortening, eggs and pumpkin thoroughly In a large bowl. Sift dry ingredients and add to pumpkin mixture. Blend well, Add raisins and pecans. Drop batter by teaspoonsful on ungreased baking sheets. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven. Makes about 6 dozen
Pumpkin Bread
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour;
1 1/2 cups sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt;
1 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon; 2 large eggs
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 cup vegetable oil; 1 cup fresh pumpkin
1/3 cup water; 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Combine
pumpkin, water, eggs & oil and mix well. Add dry ingredients slowly
and beat thoroughly. Stir in nuts and pour batter into greased loaf
pan. Bake at 350" for 75-80 minutes. Cool 15 minutes before removing
from pan.
